I heart Gloriosa Lilies!

Everything about this wedding was great: The weather was perfect, the bride was laid back, the venue, James J. Hill Library was perfect, my fabulous husband helped set up, the cake was from the talented Queen of Cakes, and the photographer was my friend, Steph from EyeSpy Photography- this being the most important to note here because I only took a couple of the wedding flowers myself knowing she’ll rock them out of the house! This is going to be good- stay tuned!

As I was designing this pot for Lara when her husband, Pat, came home and said, “ey, can you do one of those for my Mom too?”  So I did:)

I was lucky enough to make not only one fan-fricking-tastic bouquet for a lovely wedding, but two for my bride’s Melissa and Kami.  Kami’s sister, Kelly, and I went to high school together back in the day and we are friends on Facebook.  She recommended her sister to check me out and I’m so glad she did because this cute couple had not only darn good taste in flowers, but were super fun to boot!

We gave each girl their own custom handle treatment and at the last moment,  added the green Hanging Amaranthus because it just was too good to pass up.

Check out the centerpieces we got to help with and especially note one of the table names (which were favorite stomping grounds of the ladies) the Blue Door Pub, WITH my winter pots in view to make it extra special! :)  wish you two a lifetime of happiness and joy.  Have a great time in Florida and please, keep in touch!

Unfortunately a neighborhood florist, Stems and Vines, recently went out of business.  Fortunately I had freelanced for them and they trusted me enough to hand over their weddings.  I feel so fortunate to have been able to meet with these lovely brides and and see that their wedding flowers and decor were taken care of.  Michelle was the first of many you’ll be seeing this year.  She carried a beautiful bouquet of pink Peonies, Roses, Silver Brunia, a bit of variegated Pittisporum to break up the flower types, and we added a collar of a beautiful Aralia leaf to funk things up a bit.  Me gusta mucho!

Pink Hydrangea, two toned Roses, and blue pearl filled Stephanotis.  Bouquets, personal flowers, unity candle, and rental centerpieces.
