Erin Johnson was wonderful enough to share with me these gorgeous images she took of Valerie and Ben’s wedding- enjoy!

Valerie came to me with a general idea for her Indian themed wedding….awesome.  And that’s exactly what she got….awesome. Her bouquet was made from an armature of Curly willow in a tear drop shape then packed with a luscious combination of Dahlias, Orchids, Roses, Waxflower, white feathers, Hypericum berries, Iris, Lisianthus, and Trichillium.

The ceremony was at the classic, historic Our Lady Of Lourdes in NorthEast Minneapolis and the reception at Windows at the top of the IDS Center.

My absolute favorite thing about this wedding, except from the freedom to “do my thing” with complete trust from the bride, was not the breath-taking view from the 50th floor, but the cake.  This bad boy, a true piece of art made from Gateaux, a 4 tier Indian inspired beauty help up by a golden elephat that was holding none other than the toss bouquet:)- So….frickin’….cute!!!!

Megan and Joe are friends of Andria and Mike whose wedding flowers I did last year.  Now I was fortunate enough to meet with, plan, and deliver these fine people’s wedding flowers and decor as well, and get to see Andria, the new mom, again.  The ceremony was at the grand Gloria Dei church in Saint Paul and the reception was at the picturesque Mendakota Golf Club in Mendota Heights where the staff is just wonderful to work with! We used three shades of red Roses, Hypericum Berries, Wine Callas, James Story Orchids, mini Cymbidium Orchids, and Pittisporum greens.

Flower petals are not allowed to be thrown at the church (as is often the case) so we designed within the flower girls basket using pearl centered Roses and greens- so cute!

I loved the memorial table that had framed pictures of family on their own wedding days.

My favorite element of this wedding (aside from the bouquets of course) was the gorgeous cake from Buttercream that I accented with a topper and “spill” of wedding flowers and my silver, ornate, rental cake stand.

Cannot wait to see the pictures from Kim Kasl, who was also the photographer for Andria and Mike, I know they are going to be fabulous- especially with such a HOT wedding party!!!!

Zoe, aka Hot Pants, took some boudor photos as a gift fr her soon-to-be-huband with my gal, Steph at Eyespy-photography- sooo hot!  Take a gander at Steph’s saucy photos (free boutonniere ifyou can spot me) at her boudoir site.  Soooooo nummy:)

They got married and had their reception at the ab-fab 317 on Rice Park.  I’d recommend this venue to anyone who likes to have every detail completely covered for their wedding.  The staff is fabulous!

I am awaiting professional pictures from Jacki V- they are stunning and will be posted very soon (the first 3 images I stole from Zoe’s Facebook:)).

A note from Zoe:

Hi Carra,

My flowers were beautiful and I LOVED them, thank you so much.  I honestly continue to get compliments about my wedding flowers - they were that awesome!

Cheers!

A review from Zoe as posted on Wedding Wire:

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Carra. She was truly awesome to work with and I loved my wedding flowers. I met with several florists before meeting (and then hiring) Carra and let me say that I am sooo glad that I did. It’s been a few months since my wedding and I’m still hearing good things about how beautiful my flowers were.

07/18/09 Abby and Tony

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

I used to be in Law Enforcement (booooooo!) am now am in love enforcement (booooo to my stupid, sappy talk).  I met Tony working midnights (double Boooo!) at the Ramsey County Jail, and I use the word working VERY loosely. He’s a super fun and nice guy and I’m glad to have met him and now his lovely wife, Abby.

Her wedding was sweet but I added a bit of my sassy for a memorable display of floral fabulousness. Take a look-see and let me know what you think.  Note the handle treatment of the pink/green/white variegated leaf instead of ribbon, the delicious Fiddlehead Ferns, and the loops of Bear Grass. The memorial filled with pink and white Lilies with Magnolia leaves and 7 glass picked candles to honor each loved person who has passed. Oh, and see if you can spot the two pictures my daughter, Anja, took at the church.  Hint- my husband’s hot legs are in one of the pictures:)

This was one lucky, lucky bride! Not only was she super cute and had a handsome fiance to boot, but also got to pick any type of flowers she wanted as a gift from her aunt (I need more aunts like that).  They were married on easily the nicest day of the year so far at Redeemer Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake.  The wedding coordinator there, Pam Huntley, was the most accommodating coordinator I’ve worked with.  She was so excited that we decorated the chapel so: we did 4 floor arrangements, pew swags, 2 tall altar arrangements, and candelabra swags.

The reception was at the fabulous Weisman Art Museum with ab-fab catering from Deco where the food was so gorgeous that I actually took a picture of it to show you- so pretty!

Enjoy browsing my photos then hold on to your pants when I get the professional images from my fav girl, the uber talented, VERNA PITTS.
