6/28/08 Cherie and Justin

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Fun, fun, fun! Everything about this wedding had to do with having a great time.  Laid back personalities and a great eye for stunning, eye-catching flowers made designing this wedding an absolute treat.  Justin fights for our country in the Navy and navy blue was a feature color in all the flowers.  Cherie’s bouquet was filled with bright orange and pink Roses vibrant Blue Bella Donna Delphinium, yellow Gladiola blossoms, fiery red and orange Gloriosa Lilies, orange Freesia, white pearl filled Stephanotis, and Italian Ruscus.  The bouquet was personalized by wiring in a special gift Justin gave to Cherie, a anchor necklace that draped perfectly over her hand as she held the bouquet.

Each attendant carried a bouquet of bright pink and orange Roses, Delphinium, and Italian Ruscus with a handle treatment of navy ribbon accented with a band of silver ribbon on the base but each had their own special flower that correlated with the boutonniere of the groomsman they walked down the asile with; one had the Gloriosa Lilies, one had the yellow Gladiola blooms, one had the orange Freesia, and the the maid of honor had a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet (minus the Stephanotis) having all the above flowers.

The altar flowers were tall vases packed with long yellow Gladiolas, blue Delphinium, Lemon leaf, and sparkly, silver, curly sticks.

These first two, stunning photos are compliments of Olena Graphics Studio.  Check out her amazing, artistic work at www.olenagraphics.com today!

A review from the bride as posted on Wedding Wire www.weddingwire.com:

Exceptional service, Fabulous flowers. Flowers were delivered at the designated time, and we were treated with TLC. Even extra corsages were provided - very appreciated by us. It was great not to have to worry about the flowers on our Big Day because La Petite Fleur did an outstanding job of taking care of our floral needs! Very professional : she was available to answer our questions in timely fashion, had marvelous ideas & insight - providing us with exactly what we wanted. The flowers were superb!

And from her mom:

Carra was fabulous to work with. She has so much passion and dedication to her work. She also has great ideas to make everything special. The flowers we gorgeous and looked great in my photos! I would recommend La Petite Fleur to any one I know getting married. I couldn’t of asked for more beautiful flowers on my wedding day!

A note more than a year later from the bride:

Hi Carra,

Its Cherie. I know it has been over a year now, but my husband and I are now residing in Washington. He is about to leave for his first deployment, and I have been having a lot of people over to our house. Every time someone new comes into our house the first thing they see are our wedding photos on the walls, and the first thing I hear out of their mouths are, “WOW, what beautiful flowers!!” Just thought I would let you know!! Hope everything is going well for you.

Thanks again,
Cherie

Andria was sent my way from a co-worker at the jail, Chinn- thanks Jim!  She decided that she was going to do all the flowers for her wedding (I saw the bouts and corsages and they were great!), but she wanted me to do her bouquet and her groom’s bout. Together we came up with a plan for her bouquet to consist of white Callas and Lucky Bamboo- a simple, elegant combination in theory, but design wise was a bit more complicated than I had originally thought! The bout I made for Mike was a single, small, white tulip wrapped with loops of Bear Grass and accented with a clean band of decorative copper wire.

A huge shout-out goes to Kim Kasl from Kim Kasl Photography for these gorgeous shots of the handsome couple! Thanks Kim!

A letter from the bride:

Hey! We are finally back from our honeymoon and back to reality. I just have to say that I LOVED the bouquet you did for me! It was truly better than I imagined! I seriously didn’t want to put it down because I loved it so much. Thank you for doing such an amazing job for me! As soon as I get some good pictures of it I will send them your way. Thanks Again!

6/6/08 Christie and James

Happy Birthday to me! I can’t think of what I’d rather be doing on my birthday than making other people happy by creating beautiful flowers on their happiest day! I was lucky enough to be chose as the florist for Christie and James by a recommendation from their wedding planner, Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions- take a look at her site:  www.lastingimpressionsweddings.com.  The ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Stonebrook Golf Course- a great venue at an even better price-http://www.stonebrooke.com/weddings.php. The were married on the windiest day of the year but did not allow that to dampen their spirit.  They were outside happily taking pictures for hours and the bride didn’t even fret over having to have their ceremony indoors-  So laid back, I love it!The bride’s bouquet was a teardrop of shades of red Roses, pearl filled Stephanotis, Myrtle, and Bear Grass. The centerpieces were so great- On a third of the tables I got to make tall arrangements of white Dendrobium Orchids, Curly Willow, Bear Grass, and collared them with Gravelia leaves and based the tall pilsner vases by filling them with the same shade of red ribbon as the Roses, the chargers, the napkins, and the chair sashes.  Another grouping of centerpieces were bubble bowls brimming with red Roses and Pittisporum.  Yet another third of the tables had a trio of rectangular vases filled with floating candles.  The high top tables had stout, square vases based with black river rocks, a large white floating candle, and 4 Roses lining one side of the vase.  The wonderful cake by Queen of Cakes http://queen-of-cakes.com/index.html as well as all the centerpieces were surrounded by a thick layer of Rose petals.  The head table had a “runner” of petals and looked ab-fab!
