This bouquet is one of my favorites.  I found the almost brown-stripped Cymbidium Orchids the day I went to pickup the flowers and couldn’t pass them up.  The Jade Roses had a lovely ruffle and were great to work with.  Gari cried when I presented her with her bouquet…in a good way.  Thanks Gari,  for making me ruin my makeup!  Just kidding- I’m so happy you liked the flowers and I wish you all the happiness!

A note from the gorgeous couple:

“The flowers were beautiful and exceeded my expectations.  Carra did a wonderful job working with us to come up with great ideas to fit our dreams for the day and the reality of our budget.  Thank you for being such a vivid part of our beautiful day!” ~ Steve & Gari Pisca

Molly and Ryan 7/13/07

I  was fortunate enough to be able to decorate an I-Beam for a wedding at the stunning Mill City Ruins. I made a garland of grapevine, seeded Eucalyptus, and Myrtle that went well with the rustic surroundings.  Molly also asked me the day before the wedding if I could make a flower-girl pomander.  I looked around my garden for inspiration and came up with a little ball full of spunk by using Yarrow, Sedum, and Shasta Daisies along with seeded Eucalyptus.  It was not your traditional flower girl flowers, but given the venue, I felt it was appropriate. What a wonderful place to have a party!  I think I’ll have to look into having my 10 year wedding anniversary party there in a couple of years.  If you’ve never been there before, make certain to check it out at night, the lighting is beautiful!

Marissa and Napolean 8/11/07

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

Marissa and Napolean wanted flowers for their wedding that were “Minnesota Native.” I researched various flowers that they were interested in, many that grew in MN, but were not officially “native”.  We decided to expand our selection of blooms into flowers that grow in MN.  I think we came up with good choices! The ceremony and reception were at the gorgeous  (and always temperate) Central park in Woodbury. http://www.ci.woodbury.mn.us/parks/central.html

Thank you again to the AMAZING photographer, Verna Pitts, for making my flowers look so darn good! www.vernapittsphotography.com.
