Mary and Owen are my wonderful neighbors/friends who will never, ever leave us- right?  What would Anja do without her Owie and Meh-neh-neh? Anyway, I’m so happy I could do flowers for their wedding!  Thank you to www.jmadvigphotography.com for the first 5 pretty pictures!

A note from the Groom in a letter to an inquiring bride (See Molly from http://lapetitefleurmn.com/news/?p=22 )

Thanks for asking about our experience with La Petite Fleur. I should say by means of disclosure that Carra and her family have become good friends, but that in itself should tell you something.  We were pleased we chose La Petite Fleur as our florist.  Carra patiently helped us navigate through many flower color and styles and was responsive even when we changed our minds.  After my wife left her hair flowers in her fridge at home, Carra picked them up and took them to her at the salon.  As I said, she was very helpful. The flowers were at the chapel before we were, with boutonnieres clearly labeled.  My wife’s bouquet and those of her bridesmaids were stunning and coordinated perfectly.  The entire project came in below the original estimate and Carra even surprised us with a few beautiful extras at the reception.  Everyone loved the flowers and several people asked who did them.

If you have any further questions, please ask. I hope everything goes well for you.

Sincerely,

Owen Hansen

Tara and Steve 9/9/06

Tara and I met at, of all places, prison (where we both worked).    We became fast friends when we found we had a mutual love…Summit beer:) I’ve moved onto Flowers (my love) and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department (my $), and she now is a big-wig at Lino lakes Correctional Facility. Her and her wonderfully funny husband, Steve, are now expecting a baby.  We’re all hoping the little guy (I keep saying guy- it’s totally going to be a boy) on St. Patty’s Day to keep with Tara’s Irish Heritage.  I can’t wait to meet that little one and again share a pint with my girl.  Summit Tour- here we come!!!!  Thank you Deanna and Ben Safeky for the wonderful shots of the flowers! Take a look at their amazing work at www.benjaminportraits.com.

A note from Tara to an inquiring bride:

Hi!  Carra did an awesome job on my flowers-they exceeded any expectations I had!  My husband did not understand the importance of flowers but even when he saw them he said, “Now I get it!”  Carra was so good at working with me to help me get the look I wanted within a reasonable price range.  The only flowers I knew I wanted for sure were red roses and mini calla lilies- Carra helped me turn those into the most amazing, beautiful bouquet.  I am not a person who can visualize things well and so when I saw how my flowers looked I was stunned!  They were breathtaking!  I could not stop taking pictures of them! I have only seen flowers at one other wedding that I thought were as pretty as mine. Carra was definitely a visionary and asked the right questions to help me make decisions.  She was really good with working within a budget and still giving me the look and the amazing flowers I was hoping for!!! I picked my Christmas card specifically because you could see the bouquet in it!
